Adeniyi Goodwill nursery and primary school started in February 1994, then the Lagos state ministry of education through their reference letter No. MED/PE/AO/10PN/160 and MED/PE/10PN/160B gave provisional approval to run Adeniyi Goodwill Nursery and Primary School respectively from 12th May 1995.
The secondary section of the school was given approval by the ministry of Education, in December, 2006. The same year, the school was approved by WAEC, NECO & JAMB for all their examinations.

Objectives of the School
Adeniyi Goodwill Schools are set to:
- Provide a solid foundation for the child that will in future in future equip him/her to live effectively in our modern age of science and technology
- Provide and prepare each student with wonderful opportunities which will enable the child to discover and develop his or her abilities to the fullest
- Equip the child with the knowledge which will enable him/her contribute positively to the socio-economic and political life of their country and the world at large.
- Help foster in the pupils, a healthy spiritual development into responsible, trust worthy and God fearing citizens
- Inculcate in the child the spirit of creativity through the exploration of nature
- Give the child opportunities for developing manipulative skills that will enable him/her function effectively in the society within the limits of their capacity both at the primary and secondary school level
- Prepare the students for higher education
